The Funding Year 2024 E-rate funding application filing window opened on Wednesday, January 17, and 399 applicants across the country certified 459 FCC Forms 471 on the first day. The number of applications certified on the first day of the window almost ties last year’s record:
First day applications totaled $14,576,491.99 in E-rate discounts requested, with approximately 80% for Category One services:
The 459 first-day Form 471 applications included a total of 577 funding requests (FRNs.) As of January 19, 204 FRNs (35.4%) were issued an “Application Wave Ready” status by USAC.
