On May 14, 2024, the FCC notified USAC that there is sufficient funding to fund every eligible Category One and Category Two Form 471 application. The FCC stated that the funding cap for FY2024 is $4.94 billion plus USAC has an additional $500 million in unused funds from previous years that are available if needed to fund all the applications. As of May 14, there were 30,205 requests that have been funded for FY2024 totaling $1.183 billion with 23,846 pending requests totaling $1.920 billion.
