Join Us at SHLB AnchorNets 2024

Funds For Learning is excited to attend the Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband (SHLB) Coalition’s annual AnchorNets conference October 2-4 in Washington, DC! AnchorNets is the premiere conference for broadband advocacy for anchor institutions across the country, and always has a fantastic agenda filled with talented presenters and engaging topics.

On Wednesday, October 2, I have the honor of joining Keith Krueger, CEO of the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) and Bill Davenport, Senior Director for Technology and Networking Policy for Cisco Systems for a pre-conference workshop entitled Insights and Requirements to Apply for the FCC’s Cybersecurity Pilot Program. In this session, we will discuss the impact that advocacy work from many different companies and industry groups has had on the formation of the FCC’s cybersecurity Pilot program, as well as tips and best practices for applying to be a Pilot participant. The session will start at 1:00 in Salon 5.

You can also catch Funds For Learning CEO John Harrington on October 3 in a breakout session called The Future is Universal: Inclusive Changes to E-rate. John will be joined by Christine Morris, Digital Resources Manager for the Ohio Public Library Information Network, as well as Bob Bocher, Senior Fellow at the American Library Association for a panel discussion about recent E-rate program changes from new rules for Tribal libraries to eligible hotspot lending programs for all applicants. The session will start at 9:45 in Salon 1.

If you will be attending AnchorNets 2024, we would love to meet up with you! You can find us in the sponsor area and at many of SHLB’s fantastic breakout sessions and presentations. Drop us a line here to let us know you’ll be there!
