Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of attending two incredible annual conferences—each uniquely impactful, both deeply aligned with my purpose: serving others through leadership.
From the tech-forward energy of Seattle at the CoSN conference to the global spirit of EO in Honolulu, these gatherings reminded me why board service is such a powerful act of commitment, connection, and contribution.
So why do I serve?
Because I believe in shared growth—and that real change happens when we lean in, listen well, and lead together.
CoSN: Leading the Way in EdTech Equity
At the 2025 CoSN conference in Seattle, I was surrounded by leaders who are shaping the future of K–12 education through technology. These are the people navigating bandwidth gaps, AI adoption, cybersecurity risks, and digital equity—and doing so with a relentless focus on students first.
As someone who works every day to expand access to E-rate funding through Funds For Learning, serving with CoSN lets me contribute to a greater mission: empowering every learner, regardless of zip code, with the tools they need to succeed.
Board service here isn’t just strategic—it’s deeply personal. It reminds me that leadership means stepping into complexity, and choosing service over silence.
EO: A Global Community Rooted in Growth
For the past three years, I’ve had the honor of serving in global leadership roles within EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization)—a network of bold, passionate entrepreneurs committed to learning and growing together. Now, I’m humbled to be stepping onto the EO Global Board of Directors, officially beginning my term on July 1.
This year’s Global Leadership Conference in Honolulu carried the theme ʻOhana—family. And that’s exactly what EO has become to me: a family of peers who challenge, uplift, and support one another across borders and industries.
Board service with EO is a front-row seat to entrepreneurial possibility—and a call to give more than you take.
Why Board Service Matters
Serving on boards isn’t about a title. It’s about trust. It’s about showing up with humility, asking the right questions, and helping others lead with courage and clarity.
These roles don’t just expand my network—they expand my perspective. They push me to keep growing so I can help others do the same.
To Those Considering Board Service…
If you’ve ever thought about stepping up—whether for your local PTA or a global nonprofit—say yes.
Because when we serve with purpose, we grow with purpose.
To my fellow leaders at CoSN and EO: thank you for walking this journey with me. And to everyone striving to lead with heart, I see you—and I’m learning from you.
