While Texas Governor Abbot requests speedy FY2018 funding commitments, 1,185 applicants are still waiting for funding decisions from 2015, 2016 and 2017. More than $374 million in funding requests are still pending from recent funding years. These requests impact 23,032 sites spread across every state.
I agree with Governor Abbot that Texas FY2018 funding requests need to be processed in a timely manner. In fact, I think all applicants deserve a “quick” response, especially those who have been waiting a year or more for a funding decision.
