On August 27, 2025 — The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved the Program Integrity Assurance (PIA) Review Procedures for the Schools and Libraries Cybersecurity Pilot. This decision allows the pilot to move forward, subject to further FCC guidance. The approval aims to strengthen cybersecurity protections for educational institutions
