The Schools and Libraries Division has announced the release of an additional $43.3 million for the 2003 funding year, bringing the total for 2003 commitments to nearly $790 million to date. The August 11 wave (# 9) represents 565 Funding Commitment Decision Letters. Funding is targeted to telecommunications services and Internet Access for all discount bands, as well as Internal Connections at the 90 percent discount. The next E-rate funding wave is scheduled to be launched on Monday, August 25.
